Waardevol d'Ing is a guest this Saturday in the beautiful shop of Liesel Swart and Marijke van Hulst in the pleasant Tuinwijk-Oost district. Liesel is a widely respected shoe designer and teacher at the Dutch Shoe Academy, where she has trained hundreds of shoe designers, shoemakers and shoe developers. She is making waves in the shoe world with her own sustainable shoe brand Lev'01. Marijke van Hulst is just such an authority, but when it comes to bags. She makes her unique bags from leather and other materials, preferably as sustainable as possible.
Liesel and Marijke's sustainable mission does not stop with their own products; they also sell sustainable, upcycled objects from, for exampleby Decodel, Colette van Essen and Pieter van der Veen.
In short: the perfect place for a Valuable th'Ing pop up store. I will be present that day from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a large collection of shoes and bags from the period 1930-2020, both used and brand new. Many of my products are from Dutch designers and brands and of course I have cleaned, polished and repaired them all for you myself.
In addition, I am of course full of stories about materials, brands and designers that I'll be happy to share with you.
